CHANDIGARH:  Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring spearheaded a significant protest today against the incumbent Central BJP Government in light of the recent NEET examination scam and the abrupt cancellation of the UGC-NET examination. The protest, held outside Punjab Congress Bhawan in Chandigarh, witnessed a large turnout, with demonstrators showing solidarity against the incompetency of the BJP government.

Addressing the gathering, PCC Chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring lambasted the BJP government for its failure to protect the interests of the youth. "The future of our youth is being jeopardized due to the incompetency of the BJP government. The hard work of students preparing for years for the NEET examination, an examination crucial for their future, has been undermined. This government has played with their future, " Warring stated emphatically.

Warring further emphasized that the Congress party had made it a mission in their manifesto to curb examination leaks to safeguard the future of the youth and the nation. He highlighted that similar protests were being organized at different state headquarters of the Congress party, underscoring a widespread dissatisfaction with the BJP government's handling of the education system.

"We must continue our fight because this issue concerns not only the students who took the NEET examination but also the entire nation's future. A generation of future doctors has suffered due to a scam that benefitted a few while the rest were left to suffer. This government has failed the nation repeatedly, be it by undermining democracy, neglecting farmers, stifling media freedom, or now, ruining the future of our youth, " Warring declared.

Warring pointed out the alarming frequency of examination leaks under the BJP government, citing 41 different examinations compromised to date. "Is this the integrity of our education system? An inquiry is essential as the dreams of countless youths have been shattered. We will always fight for the betterment of the nation and Punjab, raising our voices until justice is served, " he asserted.

The protest, led by Punjab Congress Chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, proceeded towards the BJP Punjab Headquarters but was halted by the police, resulting in the detention of the peaceful protestors.

"The police halted our peaceful demonstration and detained all those in attendance. However, the voice of the people cannot be silenced by force. Punjab Congress will continue to champion the rights of the people of Punjab and the nation. These roadblocks will not deter us; we will persist in our protests against the BJP's incompetency until justice is served to our youth, " Warring affirmed.

The protest saw the participation of prominent leaders including Working President Bharat Bhushan Ashu ji, former Speaker and Chairman Campaign Committee Rana KP Ji, MP Patiala Dr. Dharamvir Gandhi Ji, MLA Tripat Rajinder Bajwa Ji, former Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu ji, former MLA Lakhvir Singh Lakha ji, former MLA Madanlal Jalalpur Ji, former MLA Navtej Singh Cheema Ji, former MLA Sukhpal Bhullar Ji, former MLA Pritam Singh Kotbhai Ji, Sr. Simarjeet Singh Bains Ji, President Punjab Mahila Congress Gursharan Kaur Randhawa Ji, and NSUI Punjab President Isherpreet Singh Sidhu Ji along with other senior Punjab Congress leaders.
