AMRITSAR: The pilgrims going to visit the Gurdwaras in Pakistan on the occasion of Khalsa Sajna Divas (Vaisakhi) will leave from the Shiromani Committee office at 8:00 am on April 10.
The pilgrims who have received visas received their visa-adhered passports from the Shiromani Committee office today. The leadership of the Jatha has been entrusted to member Jang Bahadur Singh by the Shiromani Committee, while member Bibi Joginder Kaur will go with him as the deputy leader of the Jatha.
Apart from this, SGPC's interim member Ravinder Singh Khalsa, member Bibi Jaspal Kaur and Rampal Singh Bahniwal are also going with the Jatha.
OSD. Satbir Singh Dhami said that every Sikh has a longing in his heart to visit the Sikh shrines left in Pakistan and it is natural for the devotees going in the Jatha to be enthusiastic and happy.
He said that the Shiromani Committee has made all necessary arrangements for the Jatha and on the morning of April 10, the Sangat will be sent from the Shiromani Committee office as per the Panthic traditions.
He said that this time the Shiromani Committee had sent the passports of 1942 devotees for visa, to whom the Pakistan Embassy in Delhi has issued visas.
He said that it is a matter of happiness that this time all the devotees have received visas, due to which there is great enthusiasm in the Sangat.
He said that the devotees who could not reach to get their passports today, should get their passports before the departure of the Jatha. On this occasion, Additional Secretary of the Shiromani Committee . Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, deputy Secretary Harbhajan Singh Wakta, Superintendent . Nishan Singh, Incharge of Travel Department Palwinder Singh, Assistant Superintendent . Surjit Singh Rana etc. were present.
