BJP would not allow a 'comedian' to distabilise and destroy Punjab, asserts Bittu
JALANDHAR: Ravneet Singh Bittu, Union Minister for Railways and Food Processing today strongly condemned the grenade attack on the home of senior BJP leader and former minister Manoranjan Kalia in Jalandhar. The law-and-order situation in Punjab has crumbled and out of control of AAP government, he added.
Bittu who visited Kalia's home today expressed his deep anguish over the grenade attack and said that Punjab was burning. He said that grenade were thrown on homes, police stations everyday. He said that grenades were available in the hands of criminals like toys.He said that it was big nexus in Punjab. Such kind of violence was seen in naxalite hit areas but never in Punjab.
He said that the Bhagwant Mann government had failed to control the violent incidents. The border state is being pushed towards anarchy. He said that grenade blast had damaged car of Kalia and windowpanes of first and second floor were broken. Police failed to respond to call by Kalia at night. Kalia dared to go out at night to see the inpact of blast. The police came only after his security went to police station. The police tried to underplay the incident.
Bittu said that Union Home Minister and defence minister had called Kalia to know about the grenade attack. He said that no minister of government authority came to meet Kalia. He said that BJP would burn effigies of Mann government all over the state. He said that BJP stood by the people of Punjab in the hour of crisis. He said that their famiies had shed blood for Punjab and they would make any sacrifice to save the Punjab. BJP would not allow a 'comedian' Bhagwant Mann to distablise and destoy Punjab.
Union Minister said that Punjab Police was divided into two groups. One group of police is controlled by an agent appointed by Arvind Kejriwal deputed in Punjab. The poor state of affairs is indicated by the policemen getting involved in drug smuggling and sex rackets. He said that not only police, but the bureaucrats were also being mistreated and humiliated. Frequent transfers of senior officers have created uncertainty. The intelligence chief was transferred yesterday. Many officers like K.K.Yadav, Gurkirat Singh Kirpal (both IAS), Jitender Jorwal, Kuldeep Chahal and Varinder Singh Puneet Goyal (All IPS) all without postings after their transfer.
Bittu said that AAP leaders from Delhi were provided heavy security umbrella but the people at target of smugglers and gangsters are not given any security. He said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had become a tool in the hands of Delhi leaders. He said it was shameful to see that as elected CM was sitting like a duck with Manish Sisodia who is commanding at the government functions.
