Jathedar Kaunke should be honored with Fakhr-e-Kaum Award: Harmeet Singh Kalka

AMRITSAR: Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Mr Harmeet Singh Kalka has appealed to Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh to honor the former executive Jathedar Gurdev Singh Kaunke from Sri Akal Takht Sahib. A Kaum Award should be decided from Sri Akal Takht Sahib because this is the respectful sentiment of the Sikhs of the country and abroad today.

Mr Kalka, who came here to participate in the meeting of the five-member committee in the case of the Bandi Singhs, while talking to the media, said that we had held a function in Delhi about Jathedar Kaunke Sahib where very big sectarian decisions were taken. He said that the report which has now been placed before Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib, in which it has been explained in full detail how Jathedar Kaunke suffered torture and torture and gave the greatest sacrifice for the nation. He said that Jathedar Sahib should take notice of him and honor such a great leader of the nation by giving him the award of Fakhr e Kaum.

He said that in the near future, a big panth gathering has been held in Jalandhar on February 10, in which leaders of various sects and organizations will participate and while discussing the interests of the panth, necessary decisions will be taken and implemented.

On this occasion, senior members of Delhi Gurdwara Committee, Sardar Bhupinder Singh Bhullar, Sardar Parvinder Singh Lucky and Sardar Manjit Singh Bhoma, Chairman Dharma Prachar Committee Punjab, Palwinder Singh Pannu, Harjit Singh Purewal, Kulbir Singh Gandiwind, Madhupal Singh Goga, Daljit Singh Pakharpura, Sukhjinder Singh Bittu Majithia, Surinder Singh Talibpura, Jathedar Didar Singh Chaudharpura were also present.
