FEROZEPUR: Deputy Commissioner Ms. Amrit Singh had a special meeting with the journalists of the district. During the meeting he discussed various issues of the district with the journalists.
She told the audience that journalists are the fourth pillar of democracy. Journalists have an important role to play in the upliftment of society.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the administration was working in various departments of the district to implement the plans drawn up by the Punjab government. He said that from time to time the administrative shortcomings were also exposed by the journalists in the news and by implementing them it would be his priority to address such shortcomings on priority basis.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner said that he got his basic education in UP before preparing for UPSE and after that he got success in UPSE by getting higher education. He said that he was also proud to be the first woman Deputy Commissioner of Ferozepur district.
She said that earlier she had served in SDM Barnala, SDM Nakodar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur, Additional Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana, AMD Markfed and Chief Administrator Development Authority Jalandhar.
