PATIALA:Government Rajindra Hospital Patiala, one of the most illustrious and heritage multidisciplinary institutes of the state of Punjab celebrated the 68th Anniversary of its establishment today. In order to commemorate this landmark occasion a ‘’Tree Plantation Drive’’ was initiated by Dr. Harnam Singh Rekhi Medical Superintendent Government Rajindra Hospital Patiala with Dr. Avnish Kumar Director Research & Medical Education Punjab as the guest of honour for the event.
The Medical Superintendent stated that this is just the beginning and that the drive will continue with full enthusiasm till plantation as well as landscaping of the entire hospital complex is achieved. He also informed that many social organisations have also graciously come forward in support for both contribution towards plantation as well as for regular maintenance and upkeep towards the fulfilment of this goal.
The dignitaries present included Dr. Akashdeep Aggarwal (Joint DRME Punjab), Dr. Harjinder Singh (Director Principal Govt. Medical College Patiala), Dr. Raminderpal Singh Sibia (Vice Principal Govt. Medical College Patiala), Dr.V.K. Dangwal (Deputy MS Rajindra Hospital Patiala), Dr. DS Bhullar (President PSMDTA) and members of the institute Horticulture & Landscaping Committee Dr. Saryu Gupta (Nodal Officer), Dr. Sudeshpartap Singh, Sh. Mahesh Sharma and S. Satwinder Singh. There was enthusiastic participation of heads and faculty members from all departments of the institute as Dr.Parneet Kaur, Dr. Preetkanwal Sandhu Sibia, Dr. Vishal Chopra, Dr. Dimple Chopra and Dr. Darshanjit Singh Walia as well as staff members of the Medical Superintendent office. The occasion was also graced by our kind supporters as Dr.B.S. Sohal (President Patiala Health Foundation) and renowned social activists Col. Karminder Singh and Sh. Vinod Kumar Sharma.
