Five Sikh high priests removed Sukhbir Singh Badal as President of SAD, direct party Working Committee to immediately accept resignations

AMRITSAR: Giani Raghbir Singh Jathedar Akal Takht highest eat of Sikh religion and other high priests today decided to remove Sukhbir Singh Badal as President of the party as they directed Working Committee of the party to immediately accept resignations. Sukhbir Singh Badal, NK Sharma and Sarbjit Singh jhinder have resigned from their posts

Five Sikh high priests have also announced to withdraw 'Fakhar E Quom' award from former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal posthumously. This is first such incident in history of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

Shiromani Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Singh Badal has admitted to majority of mistakes as committed during SAD led Akali Dal-BJP government during 2007-2017 rule.

He admitted these mistakes during questions posed by Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghubir Singh when he was hearing matter at Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

Interestingly Jathedar directed Sukhbir Singh Badal to answer only in YES or NO and in majority of questions Sukhbir Singh Badal admitted mistakes by saying YES but also added that a lot of mistakes were done during Akali Dal led government's tenure.
