AMRITSAR: To give a big boost to the tourism industry of Punjab, Rangla Punjab Tourism Summit will be organized from 11th to 13th September at MT University Sahibjadajit Singh Nagar.
This announcement was made by Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs Punjab Madam Anmol Gagan Mann while addressing a meeting of businessmen related to tourism industry in Amritsar.
She said that today I have come to Amritsar to invite the businessmen of Majhe for the said convention.
She said that lakhs of tourists come to Amritsar daily which is a good thing but in Punjab we have more immense potentials for tourism industry than the information about Punjab and outside Punjab is nominal.
She said that the effort of my department is to promote the tourism industry in Punjab by bringing all these natural, historical and cultural places before the public.
She said that therefore the department is working to develop all the said places in which your cooperation is required.
Madam Mann said that we are trying to bring the information of these places, hotel booking, guide etc. all on a single app which will help any tourist to travel around Punjab.
She said that apart from this, based on Punjab's heritage, sports, food, agriculture, rural economy, Punjabi dance, etc., we have planned to hold 23 big fairs in Punjab next year, in which national level Rangla Punjab will be held at Amritsar in January. A fair will be held which will last for about 15 days and thisIn addition to Indian diaspora, entrepreneurs from foreign countries related to the tourism industry will be specially invited.
She said that the desire of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann is to make the state the number one state in the country in the tourism industry and we are working tirelessly day and night for this, but for this we need your support. He said that work is also being done to start a shuttle bus service, tourism police and a special medical helpline for the convenience of tourists in Amritsar.
Addressing the meeting earlier, MLA Dalbir Singh Tong appreciated this unique initiative taken by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and said that if Punjab moves forward in tourism, Amritsar and its adjoining areas will benefit the most. will be He welcomed Cabinet Minister Anmol Gagan Mann to Amritsar.
Before this, the Principal Secretary of the Department Mrs. Rakhi Gupta Bhandari shared detailed information with all the entrepreneurs with videos and pictures showing the colorful culture of Punjab.
