Excommunicated, former Punjab Minister, SAD leader Sucha Singh Langah urges Akal Takht Jathedar to forgive his mistakes

AMRITSAR: Sucha Singh Langah, a former minister who was expelled from the Panth and a member of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, once again apologized to the Jathedar of the Akal Takht for re-joining the Panth. He visiting Sri Harmandir Sahib and Sri Akal Takht Sahib here today to submit his appeal.

Sucha Singh Langah said, "I beg the Jathedar Akal Takht and the Guru Panth through the media to forgive me for my mistakes." Langah was caught on camera in compromising position with a woman constable. He was excommunicated from Sikh Panth even though the police case was dropped after the woman withdrew her complaint.

He tol Jathedar that he and his elderly parents had on several occasions made written requests to the Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib to forgive him for his unintentional mistakes and reintegrate him into the Sikh faith.

He said that Giani Harpreet Singh Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib was a great personality of the Sikh community and was second only to God, who could not be subjected to any kind of political pressure, even while addressing at Manji Sahib Diwan Hall.

Speaking at the Manji Sahib Diwan Hall, Langah said that anyone who humbly bows before Guru Hargobind at the door of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the owner of Miri Peeri, should be re-introduced into the Panth. Can Langah said that not only he but also his family members and relatives were suffering mentally and socially due to the long absence of hearing on his apology.

Langah said that for 72 consecutive days he has been coming to Sri Akal Takht Sahib barefoot as a humble person and reciting Bani and requesting prayers.

He said passionately that just as a child instinctively commits millions of crimes or transgressions, so too the father preaches a lot of rebukes and then hugs him, so the Guru Panth and Sri Akal Takht Sahib are the blessings of the Satgurus for them and that His mistakes will be forgiven.

He said that there was no historical evidence in Sikh history where any asylum seeker or culprit had not been forgiven.
