AMRITSAR: Birth anniversary of Baba Deep Singh celebrates with great enthusiasm and large number of devotees paid obeisance and paid their respects to Baba Deep Singh Ji at Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj Chatiwind gate here today.
After the bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, Granthi Singh Sahib of Sachkhand Sri Harimandar Sahib, Giani Gurminder Singh, gave the holy order. He also discussed the life history of Shaheed Baba Deep Singh with the Sangat.
Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, who arrived at the event, congratulated the Sikhs on birth anniversary of Baba Deep Singh ji and said that Baba ji's services are very great.
He wrote the four holy forms of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji with his own hand and illuminated them on the Takht Sahibs.
He said that the history of Babaji's martyrdom is also legendary. Babaji gave his martyrdom to stop the desecration of Gurudhams by living his life according to Guru Ashe.
Advocate Dhami appealed to the devotees to take inspiration from the life of Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji.
Meanwhile, in the Gurmat events organized by the Shiromani Committee for the past few days, the famous ragi, dhadi and kwishar groups of the Sikh community connected the congregation with Gurbani Kirtan and the glorious history of the Sikh community.
On this occasion, Amrit Sanchar was also organized in which 167 souls received the gift of Amrit.
