Bibi Jagir Kaur expresses grief over the death of three women farmers at Tikri Border

AMRITSAR:Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Bibi Jagir Kaur has expressed deep sorrow over the death of three women in a farmers' agitation and injuries of others due to being crushed by a speeding tipper at Delhi Tikri border.

In a press statement issued from the SGPC headquarters , Bibi Jagir Kaur said that the benefactors of the country have been sitting on the borders of Delhi for a long time for their legitimate demands but the Union government was not resolving the issues of the farmers due to its stubbornness.

She said that so far hundreds of farmers have lost their lives in this struggle which could not be compensated.
Bibi Jagir Kaur said that today's incident was very tragic in which three women farmers were killed and some others were injured.
The SGPC President said that the Prime Minister of the country should understand why the people of the country were sitting on the streets leaving their jobs and it was the duty of the Union Government to address their issues. Bibi Jagir Kaur prayed for peace of mind of the deceased and recovery of the injured.
