Bhai Rajinder Singh, who returned after serving 34 years jail in England honored at Sri Akal Takht Sahib

AMRITSAR: Bhai Rajinder Singh, who had rectified the Sikh guilt for uttering derogatory words against the Sikh Gurus, was released from a British jail after serving a long sentence of 34 years.

On this occasion he was specially honored by Jathedar Akal Takht Giani Harpreet Singh at Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the highest seat of Sikh religion .

Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and other prominent personalities were also present on the occasion.

Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, said that the Sikh community could never tolerate bad language about its Gurus and Sikh warriors.
He said that Bhai Rajinder Singh, a reformer of " Panth Dokhi" who had spoken ill of Guru Sahibs 34 years ago, had to spend a long time in jail in England and was released after 34 years.

He said that the Panth always remembers the sacrifices of such heroes.

Meanwhile, the President of the SGPC Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that Bhai Rajinder Singh was the jewel of the Sikh Nation and his contribution towards the Nation was unforgettable. He said that Bhai Rajinder Singh has spent a long period of his life in jail which is a great gift to his nation.

On this occasion Giani Malkit Singh, Head Granthi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Member of Dharam Prachar Committee Sukhwarsh Singh Pannu, Additional Secretary, Shiromani Committee. Sukhdev Singh Bhurakohna, Deputy Secretary Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, Incharge Nirmal Singh, Manager Narinder Singh, Family members of Jaspal Singh Dhade and Bhai Rajinder Singh were present.
