GURDASPUR: Deputy Commissioner Mr. Mohammad Ishfaq informed that Artificial Organ Manufacturing Corporation of India Chanalu (District Mohali) would distribute artificial limbs and assistive devices to 548 persons with disabilities in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner further said that camps would be set up at block level in all the 11 blocks of the district for distribution of artificial organ and accessories.
During the camps to be held in the block, the concerned officers would ensure strict compliance with the instructions of Covid-19 during the camp.
He said that camps would be held in 11 blocks of the district, Sri Hargobindpur, Gurdaspur, Dinanagar, Dorangala, Dhariwal, Kalanaur, Dera Baba Nanak, Fatehgarh Churian, Kahnuwan, Qadian and Batala on October 01.
The above camps would be held in the BDPO offices and during these camps BDPO, CDPO and Block Head GOG of the concerned block have been posted as Nodal Officers and Assistant Nodal Officers, who would be responsible for providing artificial organ and assistive devices to the disabled in the camps, he said.
