AMRITSAR: All arrangements have been completed to celebrate the 400 birth anniversary of 9th Guru of Sikhs Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur
Sri Akhand Path Sahib was started at Gurdwara Guru ka Mahal, birth place of the Guru here today.
A Gurmat Samagam will be held at Gurdwara Manji Sahib and Gurdwara Guru ka Mahal.
The nagar kirtan procession will be organise on April 20 and it will start from Akal Takhat Sahib and after parading in the main bazars of city it will be end at Gurdwara Guru Ka Mahal.
It may be recalled that the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee is organizing a grand Gurmat Samagam on April 21 at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall to mark the centenary year.
At the start of Akhand Path Sahib, Bhai Rajdeep Singh said that the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib has been celebrated by the sangat from all over the country and abroad.
On this occasion Bhai Manjit Singh Bhurakohna, Member of the Shiromani Committee informed that Giani Jagtar Singh, Jathedar of Takht Sahibs, Chief Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, Giani Jagtar Singh Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of the Shiromani Committee, renowned Ragi, Dhadi and Narrator will perform kirtan. He said that the bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib which started today would be held in the morning on April 21, after which the function would begin at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall.
Earlier on April 20, Nagar Kirtan will be organise from Sri Akal Takht Sahib to Gurdwara Guru ka Mahal and a grand kirtan darbar will be organized at Gurdwara Guru ka Mahal on the same evening.
At the inauguration of Akhand Path Sahib, the intimate member of the Shiromani Committee Harjap Singh Sultanwind, Amarjit Singh Bandala, Member Surjit Singh Bhitewad, Bhai Ajaib Singh Abhayasi, Bhai Manjit Singh, Baba Satnam Singh of Qila Anandgarh Sahib, Additional Secretary of Shiromani Committee. Partap Singh, Deputy Secretary. Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, Gurmeet Singh Butter, S. Tejinder Singh Padda, Sukhbir Singh, Manager of Sri Darbar Sahib. Sulukhan Singh Bhangali, Baghel Singh, Satnam Singh Mangasarai, Nishan Singh, Satnam Singh Riyad, Incharge Gurcharan Singh Kuhala and others were present.
