FEROZEPUR: A meeting was held in July 2021 under various welfare schemes related to Circle Zira under Punjab Building and Other Construction Board, under which Deputy Commissioner Mr. Girish Dayalan in the accounts of 4032 beneficiaries 4, 51, 74, 585.00.
The amount has been approved. The amount due to the beneficiaries under various schemes would soon be transferred to their account by the Punjab Building and Other Construction Board, Mohali.
Elaborating on the schemes developed by the Punjab Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board for the welfare of construction workers, Assistant Labor Commissioner SK Bhoriwal said that masons, brick / cement handlers, plumbers, carpenters, welders, electors, Technical / clerical work etc. and construction of buildings, roads, canals, power generation or distribution, irrigation, water distribution or drainage, telephone, wire, radio, rail, airport etc. in any government, semi-government or private institution. A construction worker is a person who is between 18 and 60 years of age. Anyone who has worked for 90 days as a construction worker in Punjab during last 12 months and MGNREGA worker who has worked for 50 consecutive days can become a beneficiary under Building and Other Construction.
For this one time registration fee of Rs. 25 / - would have to be paid to the labor inspector of the constituency and a contribution of Rs. 10 / - per month would have to be deposited to keep the membership going. So those who do the above wage related work should apply for their online registration to get the maximum benefit of the scheme.
