Akal Takht Jathedar ordered SGPC to file murder case against Police officers who martyred Bhai Kaunke through inhuman torture

AMRITSAR: Giani Raghbir Singh , Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib has ordered the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to file a case of murder against the accused on the Tiwari report regarding the martyrdom of Bhai Kaunke through inhuman torture.
In a statement here today Giani Raghbir Singh said that the murder of Bhai Gurdev Singh Kaunke during the nineties by the Congress government of Chief Minister Beant Singh and the Chief of Punjab Police KPS. The genocide of thousands of Sikh youths through Gill is a very heinous example, which is very important to come before the world and expose the killers of Bhai Kaunke and get exemplary punishment.
Giani Raghbir Singh said that about 30 years ago, IPS regarding the indiscriminate killing of Bhai Gurdev Singh Kaunke from his home by inhumane torture. Sri Akal Takht Sahib has ordered the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to investigate Tiwari's report from legal aspects and take appropriate action and register a case of murder against the killers of Bhai Kaunke.
He said that on December 25, 1992, Bhai Gurdev Singh Kaunke was abducted by the Punjab Police from his house and kept in illegal custody and subjected to inhuman torture and was declared a fugitive by filing a false case of escaping from police custody. On June 7, 1998, the then Director General of Punjab Police, I.P.S. Tiwari, Additional Director General of Police, ordered a security probe. During his investigation, Mr. Tiwari found the story of Bhai Kaunke's escape from police custody to be completely false and recorded the statements of the witnesses regarding Bhai Kaunke being taken away from home, kept in illegal custody and martyred by inhumane torture. The Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib said that the chapter of Bhai Gurdev Singh Kaunke's murder will probably be the most painful case of violation of human rights in the world, which is extremely shameful for a democratic system. The pain of the martyrdom of Bhai Kaunke is burning in the heart of every Sikh, due to which his killers should be given severe punishment so that Sikh hearts can feel relief. Giani Raghbir Singh also thanked the human rights activists who worked hard to bring out the fact-based truth of Bhai Kaunke's murder.
