AMRITSAR: Condemning in strong words the disrespect of Gurbani for the sake of money in films and serials and the acts that hurt Sikh traditions, Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that such incidents that hurt Sikh sentiments should not be tolerated.
Advocate Dhami said that it has been noticed through social media that in the set prepared for the shooting of the serial at Gharuan near Chandigarh, the scene of Anand Karj was filmed by imitating the light of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, which is a gross violation of Sikh traditions and etiquette.

Although the Sangat has ventured to stop it, the police administration should take action against the culprits.

The Shiromani Committee president said that special care should be taken during the shooting of films so that Sikh traditions and principles are not tampered with in any way. He said that it is sad that some people violate the traditions of religion under commercial interests only for the sake of earning money.

Advocate Dhammi reprimanded such people to stay away.
Advocate Dhami said that a report will be taken about this incident so that necessary action can be taken against the accused.
