AMRITSAR: The President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, has expressed grief over the burning of the holy Bir of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji due to an electrical short circuit in Gurdwara Singh Sabha of Sheikhupur in District Kapurthala yesterday.
Advocate Dhami said that it is a big negligence of the management to keep the electrical appliances running without the presence of attendants inside the Gurdwara Sahib.
He said that it is often seen that AC and fans installed in Guru Sahib ji's resting place keep running continuously, which causes such incidents.
Advocate Dhami appealed to the Gurdwara Committees and administrators to ensure the presence of attendants inside the Gurdwara Sahib at all times and to use the electrical appliances only as needed in the presence of the Sangat.
He also appealed to the congregation to cooperate with the management so that such unfortunate incidents can be prevented.
