AMRITSAR: AAP MLA from Amritsar North and former IG Punjab Police today raised questions on few appointments of Punjab Police officers at key posts who were members of SIT formed to probe firing incidents at Behbal Kalan and Bargari.
In a facebook post, Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh said that Parbodh Kumar who has been psoted DGP intelligence and Arunpal Singh posted as Commissioner of Police Amritsar were unjustified. He said that these two officers were part of SIT in firing cases but they worked to save political families involved in sacrilege cases. He said that he had resigned in protest against inaction of SIT report submitted by him. He sadi that these two officers had refused to sign the SIT report.
Kunwar Vijay Partap has demanded to reconsider the appointment of these two officers. He said that such appointments would raise accusing fingers on AAP government. He said that those tried to save the political families were being given key posts is unfortunate.
