AAP Government responsible for financial mess and power crisis in Punjab: PYC president Mohit Mohindra

PATIALA: Punjab Youth Congress president Mohit Mohindra today accused the AAP Government led by Bhagwant Mann for creating financial mess and severe power crisis in the state. He was addressing the dharna organised outside the PSPCL headquarter here today by the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee(PPCC) to protest against hike in power tariff and cut in subsidy.

Mohit Mohindra said that Punjab government had increased VAT on petrol and diesel and hiked the power tariff to put additional burden of over Rs.2000 crores on common people. He said that Congress government led by Charanjit ingh Vhanni had given subsidy of Rs.3 per unit to all power consumers but AAP government has withdrawn it for category above 7 Kw.

He said that policies of AAP government were pushing Punjab towards bankruptcy. He added that AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal had made big promises on improving economy of state and generating Rs.36000 crore revenue by ending corruption. He said that Kejriwal befooled the people of Punjab with his lies. He said that AAP had made a claim of generating Rs.30000 crore from excise sector and Rs.20, 000 crore from new mining policy. He said that slogans of making Rangla Punjab was a political ploy.

Mohit Mohindra said that AAP government was stealing money from pockets of people of Punjab. He said that Congress would expose the anti-people policies of Punjab. Punjab was facing law and order problem, the employees of government were holding protest and common people were suffering.

He said that PPCC president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring had led the party to win seven seats in Lok Sabha elections. He said that the victory of Congress was an indication that people has faith in the Congress party.
