SSP Patiala orders inquiry into incident to be completed in 45 days
PATIALA: Nanak Singh SSP Patiala today suspended 12 police personnel for atacking and beating up an army Colonel and his son here on March 13 night. The police had posted the incident on social Media when police failed to take action against the guilty police officials.
Indian Army Colonel Pushpinder Batth, who is currently posted at the Army headquarters in New Delhi, and his son Angad were brutally assaulted and beaten by three Punjab Police SHOs over a parking dispute near Rajindra Hospital Dhaba on the night of March 13.
The family named three officers—Inspector Harjinder Dhillon, Rony, and Harry Boparai of Patiala—along with their gunmen.
