District's 8329 Beneficiary Consumer Families Received Electricity Bills Of Rs. 758.9 Lakh - DC

FEROZEPUR: The Punjab Government headed by Chief Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi has given huge relief to the consumers of power up to 2 KW to help the needy people and waived the outstanding electricity bills of Rs. 758.9  lakh Have gone.


Giving information in this regard Deputy Commissioner Mr Vineet Kumar said that guidelines have also been issued to the PSPCL officials to restore the disconnected connections without any fee due to non-payment of bills.


The Deputy Commissioner said that the bills of 1089 beneficiary consumers of Ferozepur, Ferozeshah, Serkha and Mudaki areas amounting to Rs. 92.45 lakh have been waived. Similarly electricity bill of Rs.240.19 lakh for 2790 beneficiary consumers of Mamdot, Jhok Harihar, Jhok Tahil Singh area and electricity bill of Rs. And 429 beneficiary consumer families in Zira area have been exempted from electricity bills of Rs. 102.87 lakh. He said that till October 21, 2021, electricity bills of Rs. 758.9 lakh of 8 thousand 329 beneficiary consumers have been waived.


PSPCL Department Ferozepur Deputy Chief Engg. Mr. Damanjit Singh Toor said that as per the guidelines issued by the government so far the electricity bills of the aforesaid beneficiary consumers have been waived and the work in this regard is going on on daily basis and also the bills of the remaining eligible beneficiary consumers have been waived. Are going He said that apart from this the fish meters were also being restored without any disconnection as per the instructions of the government.
