AMRITSAR: With the support of Vice Chancellor Dr. Karamjeet Singh Guru Nanak Dev University and under the guidance of the Head of the Mass Communication Department, an educational trip was organized. During this trip, students of MA 2nd Sem/4th Sem had the opportunity to visit News18 and The Tribune at Chandigarh, where they were introduced to news production.
At News18, Sanjeev, and at The Tribune, Karamvir, provided the students with in-depth insights into the news production process. Additionally, the staff members at these organizations offered valuable education about their respective operations.
At The Tribune, students were given an understanding of the printing press and the materials used in news production. They were also informed about journalism ethics and encouraged to work diligently. Furthermore, the students learned about the history of The Tribune and were inspired to choose the right path, stay connected to their roots, and contribute to their country.
During this educational trip, students gained invaluable knowledge. Dr. Aman Jyoti Kaur and Sana Absar provided additional insights, while the staff members of News18 and The Tribune expressed their gratitude to the students by giving them diaries as a token of appreciation.
