BENGALURU: Lavitra Bhavsar finally got his B.Com. marksheets from Bangalore university today (Nov.8th) after Karnataka High court issued clear directions to the university authorities to issue all documents before noon today otherwise registrar evaluation should personally present in the court on Friday.
Lavitra has filed a petition( WP 27923 ) in the Karnataka High Court last month that Bangalore University is not issuing a mark sheet to him after declaration of result in August 2024 due to technical problems putting at risk of losing a year as his admission has been made provisionally in Macwarth university Sydney Australia for want of original mark sheets.
High court asked the university to issue mark sheets within one week, but they only issued the photocopies with stamp which was not accepted by Australian universities.
On 7th November the court observed that the transcript with a rubber stamp , which has been issued by the Registrar (evaluation) is same as earlier issued by Deputy registrar (evaluation) .It does not behove the Bangalore University situated in silicon valley to issue a transcript with rubber stamp. The same would reflect badly on university abroad.as they have rejected the transcript issued by university since they do not look official. The court directed the Registrar evaluation)to sort out the issue at the earliest so as to protect the reputation of university. If suitable action is not arrived at , the Registrar evaluation should present himself in person in this court on November 8th at 2.30 PM
It may be mentioned that the Bangalore University is not issuing a mark sheet to students who have passed out this year due to technical problems putting hundreds of students at risk of losing a year who are seeking admissions abroad.
