DGP Punjab, two ADGPs among 149 police personnel got Covid-19 vaccination

CHANDIGARH: Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab VK Bhawra was among the 149 Police Personnel, who got himself vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccination booster dose during a special camp organised at Punjab Police Headquarter (PPHQ) here on Friday. Two Additional Director Generals of Police including ADGP Welfare Arpit Shukla and ADGP Security Sharad Satya Chauhan, and AIG Welfare Sukhwant Singh Gill have also got the booster jab.

Pertinently, Punjab Police in association with Health Department Chandigarh have been organising special camps for administering COVID-19 Vaccination Booster Dose for its personnel at a Dispensary situated in PPHQ. This was the third such camp organised at the Headquarter and a total of 363 Police Personnel posted at PPHQ and Mohali district have got the COVID-19 vaccination booster dose.

Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab VK Bhawra said that keeping the health of the police personnel a top priority the Welfare Wing of Punjab Police keeps organising such camps to ensure safety of the entire force.

He appreciated all the Police Personnel, who voluntarily came forward to get themselves vaccinated with the booster dose and once again encouraged the remaining Police Personnel to get the booster dose.

ADGP Welfare Arpit Shukla said that an advance message was conveyed to all the Police Personnel that only those who have completed nine months after the second dose are eligible for the booster dose.
