CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Electoral Officer Sibin C has informed that the counting for by-elections for 4 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha will start on November 23, 2024 at 8 am. All preparations have been done. All counting centers will be monitored by CCTV cameras. PATIALA: Expressing grave concern over the increasing involvement of women in drug abuse and trafficking, Punjab State Women’s Commission Chairperson Raj Lali Gill emphasized the urgent need to address this alarming trend. She revealed that during her visits to various jails across the state, she observed that 60-70% of incarcerated women face charges under the NDPS Act. She described it a deeply troubling for society.

CHANDIGARH: With an aim to further ramp up healthcare capacity by imparting skill training to the state’s youth in healthcare sector, Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) to train at least 200 candidates every year. Additionally, a Centre of Excellence will also be established at Health Skill Development Centre, Faridkot in association with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences.
