PHAGWARA: The Nakodar Sadar police have booked four unidentified persons on the charges of attempt to murder and firing.
Mam Hussain a resident of Chitti village under Lambarra police station complained to the police that he was returning home after meeting his close relative at Hairan village on October 19 night on a motorcycle.
The complainant said that when he reached half a kilometer away four unidentified opened fire at him with the intention to kill and seriously injured him. He said one gunshot pierced his thigh and another hit his motorcycle.
Investigating officer (IO) Major Singh said that a case under section 109 (attempt to murder) and 3(5) (committing a crime with common intention)) of the BNS and sections 27/27/54/59 of the Arms Act have been registered against the unidentified accused.
