LUDHIANA: The livestock sector plays a cardinal role in providing livelihoods to farmers, as well as generating employment and enhancing the nation's economy. In recent years, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University initiated several courses including Bachelor of Vocation (B. Voc).
Under this B. Voc program, the Vet University is inviting fresh applications for the two certificate courses of six months (1) Dairy & Goat and (2) Horticulture, Mushroom and Farm Engineering. The eligibility for both the certificate courses is 10+2 or equivalent in any stream. Successful students will receive a certificate in the above-mentioned courses after completion.
The second mop-up round of counselling/walk-in interview is scheduled to be held on 3 September, 2024, (9.00 am onwards) at the Committee Room of Dean, College of Veterinary Science situated in Punjab Agricultural University campus. The students can visit the university website (www.gadvasu.in) for further details. The objective of these certificate courses is to generate self-employment in the field of goat farming, dairying, and agricultural farming (Mushroom, horticulture).
This mop-up round of counselling/walk-in-interview will provide an opportunity to the students who have not yet applied for this course.
