Seven Phagwara teachers honoured

PHAGWARA: A Teacher's Day celebration organized by the Sarv Naujawan Sabha headed by Sukhwinder Singh in Phagwara honoured seven distinguished educationists for their contribution to society. The event, held at the Government Senior Secondary School of Eminence (Boys), was graced by Phagwara ADC Anupam Kaler as the chief guest.

In her address, Kaler emphasized the vital role teachers play in building a better society, noting that they not only impart education but also instil values and a sense of responsibility in students from an early age.

The honoured teachers included Master Anoop Singh from Government Primary School Tibbi, Tarun Talwar and Engineer Varinder Pabbi from RIET, Kuldeep Singh Bajwa from the School of Eminence Boys, Hindi teacher Renu Anand, Sangeeta, and Tanu, who specializes in hair and skin care.

Kaler extended Teacher’s Day greetings and expressed that teachers are the backbone of a civilized society, guiding students to become responsible citizens. She highlighted the importance of maintaining positive relationships between teachers and students.

The event also recognized the academic achievement of Dipu Tiwari, a student of the school who recently secured admission to AIIMS Jharkhand after clearing the NEET exam. Tiwari was felicitated by the Sabha for his exceptional accomplishment. The program was marked by a warm exchange of ideas, with various dignitaries in attendance, including Pawandeep Beesla, Deputy Chief Engineer, Powercom Jalandhar, and AAP District President Santosh Kumar Gogi, who spoke about the importance of honoring teachers and their pivotal role in shaping the future.

The school principal, Ranjit Kumar Gogna, expressed his gratitude towards the Sabha and the guests, noting that the event had brought pride to the school and its faculty. The program concluded with heartfelt thanks to all the attendees, including notable local figures and educationists
