Punjab Government Schools to get 310 new Principals

AMRITSAR:Punjab Education Department has promoted 310 school lecturers from all over the Punjab Government Schools, would shortly be given appointment letter to join as Principal (PES Cadre). 

Confirming about the issuing of appointment letters to all the 310 lecturers, Punjab Cabinet Minister Aruna Chaudhary said that all such lecturers of different subjects from all over the Punjab have been promoted, as orders were issued on 27th November and immediate after on Dec 1 and Dec 2 all were asked to come to Chandigarh for Station selection as per their choice on the basis of seniority/merit.

All the lecturers were given privilege to choose station as per their own choice in order to maintain transparency in the Government working system and process was completed successfully on Dec 1st and Dec 2nd. 

She said that with the promotion as Principal, 310 Government Higher Secondary schools to get new principals and Government would issue them orders in the next few days or may be in couple of days.

Chaudhary made it cleared that after assuming her office, she has issued instructions to the department that there shouldn’t be any pendency as a reason all pending files to be reviewed after every three months as no employee would suffer due to pendency or clearance of file related to their service matter or any grievances.

She said that the names of 310 lecturers were cleared in the DPC (departmental Promotion committee) and immediate after all the pending process was cleared within few days so that lecturers could join at the earliest possible on new positions. Government would never delay the promotion of any employee as a reason it was decided that DPC would be conducted twice a year in order to clear the pending promotions.

She said that Government is serious to bring adequate improvement in all the Punjab Government schools as a reasons each employee to get promotions at the right time without any delay.

On being asked why these 310 lecturers were delayed in issuing appointment letter, replied that secretary education was on leave and would join in a day or two and the moment he joined the office, appointment letters to be issued forthwith.
