AMRITSAR: Leader of Amritsar Development Forum Dr. Charanjit Singh Gumtala Guardian , Manmohan Singh Brar Guardian , Principal Kulwant Singh Ankhi Guardian, Hardeep Singh Chahal Patron, Rajwinder Singh Gill Senior Vice President , Sr. Jatinderpal Singh Finance Secretary, Dr. R. P. S. Bedi, Mr.Yogesh Kamra, Secretary, Mr. Jaspal Singh, Sr. Kanwaljit Singh Bhatia and other leaders held a press conference at a local hotel and expressed their hopes by bringing the long-pending problems related to Guru Nagar Amritsar to the attention of the candidates of all political parties participating in the parliamentary elections from Lok Sabha constituency Amritsar.
After the Lok Sabha elections, as a member of the Lok Sabha / Union Minister, he will show loyalty to the residents of the Amritsar Lok Sabha constituency by solving the problems described below on a priority basis. The important issues to be resolved in Guru Nagar Amritsar are:-
1. Decisive efforts should be made to resume India's trade with Pakistan, Afghanistan and other Middle Eastern countries through the Attari Wagha border, which is important for the Amritsar region .
2. It is requested that you will make sincere efforts to get the necessary budget approved by the Central Government for the purchase of land for the Post Graduate Institute of Horticulture Research and Education, Amritsar, which will prove to be a boon for the entire agriculture of Punjab , as the Punjab Government has allotted land for this Central Horticultural Research Institute. Not ready to buy.
3 Sincere efforts should be made to get necessary approval and budget for the expansion of the terminal of Sri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport.
4 Decisive efforts should be made by the Central Government to set up AMG (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) in Amritsar and an approved "SAARC Hospital" in Amritsar.
5 Aapji should make decisive efforts to approve the necessary budget from the central government to purchase land for the Patti-Makhu rail link, as the Punjab government does not seem to approve the budget for purchasing land for this rail project.
6 Tax concessions should be obtained from the central government for industries established in the border districts including Amritsar of Punjab on the lines of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir in the hill states.
7. In order to run the Software Technology Park of India established in Amritsar to its full capacity, international companies like Information Technology Park of India should be set up in Amritsar.
8. A bench of the Punjab and Haryana High Court at Amritsar should be established at Amritsar.
9. AAP should make concrete efforts at the official level to convene some sessions of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha at Amritsar.
10. Effective efforts should be made by AAP to obtain all approvals from the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to run the radio tower and studio under construction at Gharinda (located on Amritsar-Attari main road district Amritsar) at full capacity.
11. Local problems of Amritsar like decontamination of Tung Dhab drain, removal of Bhaktanwala garbage dump from the city , resumption of BRTS bus service in Amritsar, multi-purpose convention and exhibition center. Establishment , construction of multi-purpose sports complex, establishment of food processing industry, removal of dirt from roads and footpaths by installing wading zone, to improve the bad condition of cleanliness of Amritsar, to ensure the safety of common citizens and especially travelers.
