Seven Day Workshop Starts at KCA

AMRITSAR: A Seven-Day Faculty Development Program was organized by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Khalsa College Amritsar. It was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) N.S. Tung, Dean Academic Affairs, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.

In his key note address, Dr. Tung shared his views on use of research methodology for the growth of the subjects and the faculty. He emphasized on the role of psychology in the development of stress free society. Reflecting on the problems of children in psycho-socio scenario, he asserted on the responsibility of the parents and teachers. Besides academics, a teacher should also impart moral lessons and be a role model for the students.

Dr. Mehal Singh, Principal of the college, welcomed and emphasized on the importance of organizing such programmes for the benefit of the faculty. He also congratulated Dr. Taminder Singh, Co-ordinator, IQAC for organizing the programme. About 50 faculty members of the college participated in the programme. Dr. M.S. Batra proposed a vote of thanks. Prof. Sukhmeen Bedi, DAA conducted the proceedings.
