Punjab Police announces award of Rs.5 lakh for clue to murder of Amritsar Hindu leader

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Police have announced ana ward of Rs.five lakhs for giving any clue to eastablishe identity of killers of Vipan Sharma leader of Hindu Sangharsh Samiti at Amritsar on October 30,2017.

The police have also released the photo of one of the assailants whose face is captured in CCTV camera. Wearing turban the accused was seen firing from his pistol in the chest of the deceased. Police suspect there were four assailtnats, two of them executed the murder and two who pillion rided the accused to escape from scene.

Earlier Police had announced ana ward of Rs.50 lakhs and a job of Sub Inspector for giving clue to the murder of RSS leader Ravinder Gosain who was gunned down on October 18, 2017 by two motor cycle borne assailants. The police is yet to identify the killers of Ludhiana murder case.

Two unidentified miscreants had earlier shot dead Jagdish Gagneja another state RSS leader and still there is no clue to the murder. There are some more high profile murders in Punjab in the recent past which included Mata Chand Kaur wife of former Namdhari sect chief.

The police is investigating the role of role of gangsters in the murder of Vipan Sharma. The face of gangster seen in the CCTV camera resembles with Saraj Singh Mintoo a wanted gangster. Police is working on several therories including financial deals of killed Hindu leader.

Police have reportedly detained two persons for investigation. The Police do not rule out role of radical Sikh organisations.

Meanwhile, The hindu organisations have demanded a compensation of Rs.25 lakh for the family of deceased and job to a family members. The activists of Hindu bodies also blocked traffic and ranshacked a rail engine at the Railway station.
