CGC Jhanjeri organized Orientation Program

MOHALI: Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Jhanjeri organized an Orientation Program for the students of all the courses with a view to have a smooth introduction of new students in the campus. Almost all the students admitted so far, attended this function. A number of parents also accompanied their wards.
Speaking on the occasion Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor Chandigarh University cum Chairman CGC, advised the students to get maximum return on the money being invested by their parents. For this he advised them to attend 100% lectures. Speaking about the placement record of CGC students, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that CGC is known for inviting companies offering upto 26 lakh p.a. But most of the students of previous batches were placed at salaries of Rs. 3 to 6 lakh p.a. He advised the students to work hard so that they could get jobs worth at least Rs. 1 lakh per month.
He further informed that all the students of CGC are given thorough training on Aptitude Test, Group Discussion & Technical/ HR interview of the students. He informed the new students that they will get placement opportunities in abundance but it is upto them that they get selected in which company. He gave them various tips to prepare right from day one for getting selected in top ranking companies. Dr. G.D.Bansal, Director General said that a Student Care Centre had been started in the campus so that all problems of the students could be solved under one roof.
