CHANDIGARH: The State Vigilance Bureau today registered a bribery case against Sub-Inspector Narinder Singh (No. 1846/Patiala) posted at Police Post, Bus Stand Rajpura, Patiala district for demanding bribe to help the complainant.

CHANDIGARH:The Punjab Vigilance Bureau, today nabbed sub Inspector (SI), Head constable (HC) and Punjab Home Guard (PHG) red handed while accepting bribe of Rs 13,000 and also registered corruption case against their two accomplices a sub inspector and a head constable.

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Vigilance Bureau today nabbed one Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and one senior constable red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 10,000.Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of the State Vigilance Bureau said Krishan Kumar, ASI (No. 1005/Mohali) and senior constable Ajay Gill (No. 982/Mohali), both posted at police post Phase-8, Mohali, were arrested by vigilance team for accepting bribe of Rs. 10,000 from complainant Karan Singh of village Nahalan, Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh but residing at Mohali.

NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested Pawan Baid, Director of M/s. ABCI Infrastructures Pvt. Ltda based at Guwahati relating to a case of Rs. One crore bribery paid allegedly to the relative of CAO/Construction-II, Northeast Frontier Railways. The accused was absconding since 17.01.2021 and was not joining the investigation. Subsequently, a Non-Bailable Warrant was issued on 23.01.2021 against the said accused by the Special Judge CBI Cases, New Delhi. Various places of hiding of accused situated at Guwahati, Araria (Bihar), Siliguri, New Delhi, etc. were identified, searched and he was apprehended from Delhi.
The arrested accused is being produced today before the Designated Court at Delhi.

NEW DELHI: The CBI has nabbed a senior railway engineering service officer of 1985 batch along with two others in an alleged bribery case of Rs 1 crore, sources said on Sunday.

NEW DELHI:The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Relationship Manager and a Rural Sales Executive, both working in HDFC Bank, Baramati Branch, District Pune (Maharashtra) in a bribery case of Rs. Two Lakh.

Apart from his, seven cases have been registered against those who were violating the guidelines issued by the Punjab Government to contain the spread of Covid-19.

CHANDIGARH:The Special Judge, CBI Cases, Chandigarh has sentenced  Rakesh Jain, then Income Tax Officer, Ward No. 3(2), Chandigarh to undergo four years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs. 5 lakh in a bribery case.
