Follow traffic rules to avoid road accidents: SP Rajesh Kalia
KAITHAL: As per the instructions of SP Rajesh Kalia, strict monitoring is being done on the violators of traffic rules in district Kaithal. Under the leadership of Traffic SHO SI Rajkumar, separate teams of traffic police were challanning those violating traffic rules .
The general public is also being made aware about following the traffic rules. Police spokesperson said that as per the orders of SP Rajesh Kalia, the district police is keeping a particularly close watch on the bullets having a modified silencer which create panic in the area by making the sound of firecrackers from the bullet bike. During this period, challans have been issued for 144 Bullet Bikes during the month of November.
The spokesperson said that during the month of November, the traffic police dealt with those who violated traffic rules very strictly. During the month, a total of 3072 challans including 181 impounded vehicles were issued by the traffic police for violating traffic rules. During the last month, the police collected a fine of Rs 27 lakh 77 thousand 450 from the drivers.The spokesperson said that the police found 406 vehicles without number plate, 176 for wrong line change, 476 without helmet, 140 for over speeding, 685 for wrong side driving, 204 without seat belt, 10 for drunk driving, mobile 11 challans have been issued for experiment, 15 for black film and 28 for under age, for the safety of life and property. SP Rajesh Kalia said that common people are careless towards traffic rules while driving and due to this carelessness, we end up betraying ourselves, others and our families, which also leads to loss of life and property. The SP said that the aim of the police is not to issue challans but to save the lives of the common people. The police is committed to reducing the loss of life and property in road accidents.
