KAITHAL: Activists of public organizations took out a candle march in the city late evening on 22nd August in protest against the brutality done to the girls in the villages of Badlapur, Muzaffarpur, Uchana and the brutality done to a 31-year-old female doctor.

Workers of public organizations associated with CITU, Janwadi Mahila Samiti, SKS, Retired Employees Union and Khet Mazdoor Union first gathered at Jawahar Park and a meeting was organized there. Savitri presided over it and Master Jai Prakash Shastri conducted it. While speaking, Shastri said that P.A female junior doctor in RG Kar, a medical college in Bengal, was brutally murdered on August 9. Instead of taking immediate action against the culprit, gross negligence of the administration has come to light. The junior doctor served the people continuously for 36 hours, when she went to the hall to rest, she was brutally assaulted and murdered.

This is highly condemnable. This incident highlights the weak security system of health workers-doctors. Doctors and others are calling for strengthening the security system and taking strict action against the responsible officials involved in this crime. On the other hand, the incidents of rape of a 10 year old girl in a village near Badlapur in Maharashtra and Uchana in Haryana and rape and murder of a girl in Muzaffarpur have shocked the society.

According to the National Crime Records Bureau, incidents of crime against women are continuously increasing. This is a matter of concern for the society. State General Secretary of Khet Mazdoor Union Prem Chand also addressed the meeting. Later the workers carried out a candle march from Jawahar Park to Pehwa Chowk carrying burning candles and the program was concluded by placing candles near the statue of Maharaj Agrasen. On this occasion, Master Rampal Sharma, Shiv Charan, Madan Pahalwan, Sharmila, Sangeeta, Naresh Kumar Rohera and other friends were especially present.
