Happy Card Scheme is a unique scheme of Haryana Government--Poor eligible persons are getting the benefits: Aseem Goyal

KAITHAL: Haryana Minister of State for Transport and Women and Child Development, Asim Goyal, made a surprise inspection of the Kaithal new bus stand and took stock of the arrangements. He especially inspected the Happy Card distribution system and toilets etc. and gave necessary directions to the concerned officials. He said that passengers should not face any kind of problem at the bus stand.

Minister of State for Transport Asim Goyal interacted with the beneficiaries of the Happy Card Scheme at the bus stand and also took feedback of the scheme from them. He said that Happy Card Scheme is a unique scheme of Haryana Government, under which families with annual income less than Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand have been given the facility to travel 1 thousand kilometers per year free of cost. This scheme has provided a lot of convenience to poor families in commuting. He said that women of self-help groups will be provided shops at bus stands to start their own employment.

Transport Minister Aseem Goyal said that there are clear instructions by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini that every passenger coming to the bus stand should be happy after seeing the arrangements. If the arrangements for toilets etc. are not good then the morale of the passengers gets broken, changes will definitely be brought in such arrangements. He also gave strict instructions to GM Roadways to maintain cleanliness in toilets. On this occasion, he interacted with other passengers as well as Transport Department employees and learned about their problems.

Answering the questions of journalists, Minister of State for Women and Child Development Asim Goyal said that there are 25 thousand 962 Anganwadi centers in Haryana. 1 Anganwadi in each assembly is being developed as model Anganwadi. Work has been started on about 8000 smart play schools in the state. By doing this there will be changes in Anganwadi centers and basic facilities will be provided to the children. The Chief Minister is working for every section. Beneficiary families under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in Haryana will now get gas cylinder for Rs 500. This will benefit about 46 lakh families of the state with income less than Rs 1.80 lakh. Many schemes are being implemented for the upliftment of women and daughters. Apart from GM Roadways Kamaljeet, other concerned officers were present on this occasion.
