90 years old prof S.N. Mangla passes away, Body donated to PGI Chandigarh for research, .Eyes too donated

KAITHAL: 90 year old Prof. Suraj Narayan Mangala passed away on Monday and in deference to his wish his dead body was sent to PGI Chandigarh for research .Just a few days ago he had taken a pledge to donate his body.

Offering flowers to his sacred soul, today with the consent of his family, Mangla ji's mortal remains were taken to PGI Chandigarh through Seva Sangh Kaithal, where under the leadership of his son Rajesh Mangla his family members and the founder of Seva Sangh were present. Principal Dr. Goyal , Shiv Shankar Pahwa duly handed it over to the Anatomy department .Before this, the process of eye donation was completed by Seva Sangh Eye Bank. Dr. Deepak Garg, Sachin Dhamija, Madan Khurana performed this service.

Principal of RKSD College, Dr. Sanjay Goyal along with other staff members, Ashok Bharti from Seva Sangh, Arvind Chawla, Naresh Kalra, Prof. Amrit Lal Madan, Mohinder Gambhir etc. offered floral tributes before sending his body to Chandigarh. Prof Mangla had retired from RKSD college kaithal over Two decades ago and he was widely respected by his colleagues , students and all others who so ever came in to his contact.
Hundreds of salutes to such a holy departed soul.
