KAITHAL: Tightening the noose on the criminals, two accused including the most wanted and other declared accused were arrested by the Special Detective Unit police team. Police spokesperson said that in the case of bike riders firing at a shopkeeper, the accused Sombir, a resident of Narwana in Jind district, was arrested by the team of ASI Mukesh Kumar led by Special Detective Unit in-charge SI Ramesh Kumar.
Police spokesperson said that according to the complaint of a shopkeeper resident of Kaithal, he has a shop near Bada Post Office Kaithal. On 18 May, he was sitting at his shop in the evening. At around 5.15 the sound of gunshots came from outside the shop. The miscreants fired three consecutive shots at the shop, out of which one bullet hit the glass of the shop and two bullets hit the gate. By the time he came out, all three miscreants had fled on the bike. Regarding which a case was registered in the city police station. Four other accused have already been arrested in the case. Accused Sombir was riding a bike at the time of the firing incident.
Accused Sombir was wanted in the said case, on whose arrest a reward of Rs 5, 000 was announced. Police remand of the accused for 2 days was obtained from the court. Giving information about another case, the spokesperson said that after receiving a secret information during afternoon patrolling, the team of Special Detective Unit's ASI Mukesh Kumar and constable Sandeep Kumar raided a dhaba near village Bata and arrested the suspect in village Rasin of Karnal district. Resident Amit alias Lattu was controlledDuring investigation, 32 bore country made pistol and 4 cartridges were recovered from the possession of the accused. A case was registered against the accused in Kalayat police station and the accused was arrested.
Please note that accused Amit was also wanted in the above mentioned case of firing at a shopkeeper. Apart from this, accused Amit is also a bail jumper in a case of the year 2019 under Cheeka police station. The accused Amit is accused of a murderous attack by shooting at a shopkeeper for extortion at a shop in Cheeka during the year 2019. Regarding which a case is registered in Cheeka police station. In the said case, the accused Amit had gone underground after getting bail from the court. The accused was sent to judicial custody as per the order of the court.
