The SGPC appealed to the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib to excommunicate Narayan Singh Chauda from the Panth.

AMRITSAR: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has appealed to the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib to take action against the accused in this case and excommunicate him from the panth.

In the high-level meeting of the Executive committee of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee held today, Sukhbir Badal ; who was performing the seva at the entrance of the Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib was attacked with bullets by Narayan Singh Chauda on December 4 and the holy place of Sikhs was attacked. Disturbing the peaceful and spiritual environment.

Strongly condemning, an appeal was made to the Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib to expel the accused from the Panth.

During this meeting called on a one-point agenda, taking cognizance of the said matter, by passing a special condemnation resolution, where a committee has been formed to investigate the whole matter, this incident was also termed as a deep conspiracy.

After the meeting, the SGPC president, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, and the other committee office-bearers met Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and handed over the passed resolution and demanded the expulsion of Narayan Singh Chauda from the Panth.

Giving information to the media, SGPC President Advocate Dhami said that he has been doing his service in the past.
At the time of the attack on Sukhbir Singh Badal, when a bullet was fired at the Deori of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, the minds of the devotees of the whole world have been greatly hurt and this has also created an atmosphere of fear in the congregation.

He said that this is an insult to the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and also an injury to the principle of Miri PiriDeori panthic dignity and Sikh beliefs.

He said that after taking strict notice of this, the inner committee has unanimously passed a censure resolution and requested action from Akal Takht Sahib.

Advocate Dhami said that apart from the accused person, the internal committee also felt the need to investigate other cultists and conspirators involved in the incident, security lapses, internal and external collusion as well as the poor performance of the police administration.
