Sukhbir Badal faction should stop using Sri Akal Takht Sahib for their political benefit: Wadala

AMRIK SINGH | October 24, 2024 11:45 PM

The ban was only on Sukhbir Badal and not on the party leadership, Jathedar Sahib's statement made it clear
CHANDIGARH: Jathedar Gurpartap Singh Wadala reacted to Shiromani Akali Dal's decision not to contest by-elections and said that Shiromani Akali Dal and Kabaj faction have always been disrespecting Sri Akal Takht Sahib by using it for their political interests and another of this disrespect. The example has been found once again today.

Jathedar Wadala said that behind the suicide decision taken today was the reading of the big defeat written on the wall, but to link this decision with the dignity of Sri Akal Takht Sahib is a gross disobedience, because the Singh Sahibs have only Sukhbir Singh, president of the Sromani Akali Dal. Only Badal has been termed as a salaryman and not the entire leadership. That is why it is unfortunate to use this sectarian decision in a particular case for politics.

Along with this, Jathedar Wadala said that Singh Sahib Giani Raghubir Singh ji has also made it clear today in very direct words that there is no ban on Akali Dal from contesting elections, only Sukhbir Singh Badal is a salaried candidate. He insisted that despite the fact that the entire leadership, including the president of Panthak Party, knew the meaning of "Tankhaiye", giving the written letter to Shri Akal Takht Sahib was not done only by bringing Shri Akal Takht Sahib in his own weakness and defeat. Sri Akal Takht Sahib is in the hearts of all party workersIt is highly reprehensible to act in a hateful manner.Jathedar Wadala said that, we have been objecting for a long time that it is completely wrong to make the panthak party not a family but a man's fiefdom. Today the condition of Shiromani Akali Dal has changed to Sukhbir Akali Dal, which is being run by Sukhbir Singh Badal like a private limited company.

Jathedar Wadala reiterated the point and said that the feeling of the workers is that Sukhbir Singh Badal should resign, for which the Jhunda Committee has recommended it. In the Lok Sabha elections, a total of 7% votes were cast in 78 constituencies and today's suicidal decision has pushed the party towards elimination.

A five-member delegation headed by Gurpratap Singh Wadala, convener of the Shiromani Akali Dal reform movement, comprising Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra, Sikandar Singh Maluka and Praminder Singh Dhidsa, Charanjit Singh Brar and Gaganjit Singh Barnala met the Governor of Punjab. By meeting with the farmers who are rolling in the markets Appealed to hold the arm.Informing the Hon'ble Governor about the plight of the farmers,
Jathedar Wadala said that today the farmers have been roaming in the markets for the last 20 days, otherwise the paddy is being purchased and the paddy which was purchased at a slow pace is not being paid due to which the markets are not being paid. All the space is full, space for the farmers to throw more paddyNot gettingThe Hon'ble Governor has been requested to call for a report from the Chief Minister of the state, Bhagwant Mann, to pay immediate attention to the farming issue.
