AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee does not fight for Golakas, but is committed to the protection of Sikh principles and traditions.

On the other hand, the Haryana Gurdwara Ad Hoc Committee formed by the Haryana government is violating the Sikh code of conduct by breaking the locks of the gates of the historical gurdwaras of Haryana illegally and against the Sikh traditions.

This statement was made by Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami while speaking at the annual commemoration of Saka Sri Nankana Sahib related to Shaheed Bhai Lachman Singh Dharowali at Nagar Godharpur in Gurdaspur district. He said that Sikh history is full of sacrifices made for the protection of shrines and the preservation of Sikh traditions. Centuries ago, Sikhs gave their martyrdoms to free the Guru Ghars from the backward mahants of the British government, but it is sad that today some people are willing to accept the governmental subordination arrangements in place of the sectarian arrangements of the Guru Ghars under the auspices of the governments. Some are adopting tricks.

Accordingly, the Haryana Gurdwara Ad Hoc Committee formed by the government is eager to run the panthic arrangements of the Guru Ghars under the supervision of the government. Without talking to the Shiromani Committee or the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the locks of the Guru Ghars of Haryana are being broken and locked. It is the government bullying, which has forced the Sikh community to think once again.

He appealed to the Sikh community to target the anti-sect forces and give them a befitting reply.

On this occasion, Advocate Dhami, reacting to the question being raised by some people on the signature campaign started for the release of the Bandi Singhs, said that lakhs of proformas filled by the Sangat will be sent to the President and all the details will be given to the UNO. These people's voices are working to open the closed ears of governments and protect human rights
