Sudhar Leher adopts resolution against Youth Akali Dal and others creating ruckus during working committee meeting.

PATIALA: Shiromani Akali Dal – Sudhaar Leher’s leader Sikander Singh Maluka today advocated SAD’s pact with BJP and called for unity among various SAD factions. He said that workers worked in unison during 2022 and 2024 elections. But, internal unresolved issues and not lending ear to people’s demands has balkanized Akali Dal and politics in Punjab.

Talking about SAD’s survival, he said that if SAD needs to win 2027 Punjab Vidhan Sabha’s election, all SAD factions must unite sooner than later. He reminded the media that if SAD fails to win in 2027 then the balkanized panthic front would be coming into picture, as it happened in year 1989. He attributed the analogy to the recent win of hardliners from Faridkot and Shri Khadur Sahib parliamentary constituency.

He went on to say that SAD not only needs to resolve its internal issues but also needs to reconcile with the Bhartiya Janta Party to gain power in Punjab Vidhan Sabha in 2027. SAD must be sensitive towards people’s demands and respond to it accordingly and timely.

Speaking on SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal’s resignation he said that it was all a drama. The drama was performed by the Sukhbir’s supporters and Youth Akali Dal at junior Badal’s behest. He further exclaimed that SAD must get rid of these sycophants to resolve issues surrounding the presidentship.

He was visiting village Rakhra here today to attend 28th death anniversary of ‘Bapu’ Kartar Singh Dhaliwal, father of Rakhra brothers.

Later, leaders of SAD Sudhar Leher held a meeting at Rakhra Farms, and adopted a resolution to against the commotion created by the Youth Akali Dal and others during working committee meetingb held at Chandigarh yesterday an which Sukhbir Badal’s resignation was rejected.

Speaking on the resolution, senior leader Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra said that these leaders have straightaway challenged the authority of Shri Akaal Takht Sahib. He said that Badal has already been declarted a panthic convict (‘tankhyia’) by the Akal Takht and yet YAD and others have shown their solidarity with a tankhaiya Sikh. He informed media that the the resolution was accepted unanimously by the leaders and has sent prayer to Akla Takht Sahib to intervene and demonstrate a path ahead.

Besides Prem Sing Chandumajra the meeting was largely attended by Sukhdev Sing Dhindsa, Gurpartap Sing Wadala, Bibi Jagir Kaur, Surjit Singh Rakhra, Sucha Singh Chotepur, Gaganjit Singh Barnala, Harinderpal Singh Chandumajra, Charanjit Singh Brar and others.
