CHANDIGARH: Delhi’s Food Supply and Industry Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa has said that Punjabis will never allow dream of AAP Convener to become Rajya Sabha member from Punjab fulfilled and he urged people of Ludhiana West to ensure defeat of Sanjiv Arora in by-election so as to crush dream of Kejriwal.
In a statement released here today, Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that Kejriwal was a power hungry person who cannot live without power. He said that after getting badly defeated in Delhi, he tried to convince Punjab MLAs to elect him as their leader so that he could become Chief Minister. He said that MLAs flatly refused to toe to his orders saying that Punjabis will oppose them forcefully when they will enter villages.
He said that now he has nominated Rajya Sabha member Sanjiv Arora to contest election from Ludhiana West and has promised him to make him a minister in lieu of his Rajya Sabha seat. He said that Kejriwal wants to enter Parliament from Punjab by getting elected Rajya Sabha member.
BJP National Secretary further said that people of Punjab will never allow plan of Kejriwal to succeed as they will give Sanjiv Arora crushing defeat in by-poll thereby dream of Kejriwal to become Rajya Sabha member will remain unfulfilled. He said that defeat of AAP in Ludhiana by-poll will also lay foundation of ouster of AAP in 2027 elections an it will meet same fate which it has met in Delhi.
