CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann who has been admitted in the Fortis hospital in Mohali may not be discharged soon and would have to stay there for a longer period, at least more than two days, the sources said.
Bhagwant Mann who was fainted and rushed to hospital on Thursday night has diagnosed with Pulmonary artery inflammation. The initial medical tests of Bhagwant Mann showed fast heart beat and fluctuation in blood pressure. The doctors said that due to infection in the lungs, he was feeling pressure on his heart. He is undergoing advanced tests and would be discharged after he is stable, a source in hospital said.
Punjab Government though described his condition 'good' and claimed he was admitted for regular check up. Bhagwant Mann was earlier admitted in Apollo hospital in Delhi when he had fainted at the tarmac after reaching at Chandigarh airport on September 17. He was rushed back to Delhi.
SAD leader and former minister Bikram Majithia claimed that AAP government was trying to keep the health of CM a secret. He said that it was matter of concern. In a previous tweet on Sept 17, Majithia had claimed Mann was drunk when he returned from Delhi.
CLP leader Partap Singh Bajwa has also demanded a statement by health minister on the health of Chief Minister since he holds constitutional post. He said that he said that a healthy person should hold the command of the state to steer it out of trouble.
