PHAGWARA: One youth reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself with the ceiling fan in his residence in Guru Nanakpura locality of Phagwara today.
The deceased identified as Rupinder Singh(26) was alone at the time of suicide, told Ex-Councillor Baljinder Singh Thekedar who immediately informed the police. Family members were away and went to a Gurdwara to pay obeisance at the time of suicide.
Phagwara SP Rupinder Kaur Bhatti said though exact cause of suicide could not be known yet but Deep Depression was said to be the cause of suicide. The Police have registered a case and sent the body to local civil hospital for post-mortem examination.
