Nawab Rai Bular, Bhai Balwinder Singh Jatana, Jathedar Joginder Singh Panjarth and Harinder Singh Raniyas decorated in Central Sikh Museum

AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, in the Central Sikh Museum located at Sri Darbar Sahib Group, devotees of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Nawab Rai Bular Ahmed Bhatti, struggle warrior Bhai Balwinder Singh Jatana, former member of the Shiromani Committee Jathedar Joginder Singh Panjarth and Pictures of Harinder Singh Raniyas were beautified.

The ceremony of removing the curtain from the pictures was performed by SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami and Granthi Singh Sahib of Sachkhand Sri Harimandar Sahib Giani Rajdeep Singh in the presence of prominent personalities.

Speaking on the occasion, Shiromani President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that the Central Sikh Museum is an important source of Sikh history and heritage and national honor is given here by decorating the pictures of those who sacrificed for the nation. He said that Nawab Rai Bular was an ardent devotee of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who saw the divine light within him at a young age and gave him great respect. Rai Bular ji offered a large part of his property while paying homage to Guru Sahib.

Advocate Dhami objected to the governments that the Shiromani Committee had sent invitations to the descendants of Nawab Rai Bular ji many times to install them, but they could not attend due to non-grant of visas. The Shiromani Committee wanted their descendants to be present on this occasion.

Referring to Bhai Balwinder Singh Jatana, the Shiromani Committee President said that this warrior, the protector of the waters, fiercely opposed the Sutlej Yamuna Link Canal without caring for his life.

Advocate Dhami admonished the governments on the matter of Punjab's waters and said that this is a very important and sensitive issue of Punjab and the governments should not tamper and interfere with it unnecessarily.

The SGPC president also remembered Bhai Jatana's colleague Bhai Charanjit Singh. Along with this, Shiromani Committee president ex-member Jathedar Joginder Singh Panjarth and Harinder Singh Raniyas also recalled the Panthak work done by Shiromani Committee member.

During the event, Granthi Singh Sahib of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Giani Rajdeep Singh and Shiromani Committee Member Advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka said that the nation always remembers those who sacrificed for the nation and played a major role in the propagation of Sikhism and in this way. The Central Sikh Museum is honored by installing portraits of such national personalities.

Meanwhile, the Shiromani Committee President honored the family members of Bhai Balwinder Singh Jatana, former member Jathedar Joginder Singh Panjarth and Bhai Harinder Singh Raniya.
