AMRITSAR: The officiating Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj, today met two victim women of so-called Pastor Bajinder, at the Secretariat of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. The women, who had come to Amritsar, shared in detail the atrocities committed against them by the fraudulent and deceitful pastor Bajinder. They revealed that they were subjected to abuse and sexual exploitation at his deras, and FIRs have already been lodged by Punjab Police in this regard. However, they also stated that after the FIRs were filed, they were being threatened and intimidated by Bajinder’s associates, and the police had not taken strict action against him for a long time. This is why they approached Sri Akal Takht Sahib today.
Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj expressed concern that although FIRs have been registered against accused Bajinder, action against him is being delayed.
He warned the Punjab government to take the strictest action against the accused immediately and ensure the safety of the victim women. As the representative of the Khalsa Panth, Jathedar assured the women that they have come to the true Takht of Guru Hargobind Sahib and that the entire Sikh community and Punjab stand with them in seeking justice against the deceitful accused.
Jathedar Gargajj lamented the unfortunate reality that in Punjab, the land of the Gurus, such dera people with rapist and criminal psyche are being promoted and supported. He pointed out that, previously, the rapist and murderer Sirsa Dera head, Gurmeet Ram Rahim, was similarly promoted and supported in Punjab, and even today, the government continues to protect him. He questioned the Punjab government about why such anti-social and oppressive individuals are being allowed to flourish in the state.
Jathedar Gargajj stressed that immediate and strict action should be taken against these emerging anti-humanity, anti-Sikh, and deceitful deras in Punjab, and they should be sealed without delay.
He affirmed that the people of Punjab would never allow their daughters and sisters to fall prey to such dera people and would not tolerate this any further.
He warned that such individuals exploit people under the guise of religion and mislead them for their own benefit.
Jathedar Gargajj encouraged the victim women to have faith in Guru Sahib and praised them for their courage in raising voices against the so-called pastor Bajinder.
He acknowledged that the two women had shown immense bravery by speaking out against a deceitful figure and assured them of complete support. He emphasized that people of all religions should remain steadfast in their faith and uphold communal harmony in society.
He also appealed to the religious leaders of the Christian community to identify and themselves take a stand against such fraudulent and rapist-minded individuals.
Present at the occasion were in-charge of Secretariat Sri Akal Takht Sahib Bagicha Singh and the families of the victim women.
