AMRITSAR: The gurgadi Divas of 6th Guru Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and Akal Takht Sahib here on Monday

A religious Diwan (Congregation ) was held at Gurdwara Manji Sahib after the bhog of Akhand Path Sahib in which raagi performed the Gurbani kirtan. The jaloo (an exhibition of ancient traditional Sikh jewellery was held at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, Akal Takht and Gurdwara Baba Atal Sahib. The entire Golden Temple complex was decorated with colourful lights Meanwhile Giani Harpreet Singh Jathedar Akal Takht has congratulated the Sikhs sangat on the occasion.
In his message Jathedar Akal Takhat said that Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, the owner of Miri Peeri and the sixth Guru of the Sikhs, is being celebrated at Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib. Two swords were also conceived and the Sikh community even today tries to abide by any Hukamnama issued from Sri Akal Takht Sahib by sacrificing their lives.
Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Bhai Harjinder Singh Dhami has also Congratulated the sangat
and urged them to follow the path laid down by Guru Hargobind Sahib.
